Origin of artist alias: It’s an Englified version of my last name, Van Der Aart. I cut off the ‘art’, who needs art!
Main inspirations: Music from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s. Oh and classical music. I’ve made my Spotify playlists for non-DNB music public if you care to check what I play at home.
Favourite Liquicity song: The one that goes: boom cha boom cha, wobwobwob. To be honest there are just too many to mention, and if I like something a lot, I play it a hundred times till I need a break from it.
Guilty pleasure song: Any 90s rave, mainly for nostalgic value
Favourite snack: Dark chocolate and a bunch of nuts.
Favourite drink: Water from the tap, and a good coffee if the time is right
Special/secret skill: Probably my PhD in Nuclear Medicine
You can wake him up at night for: A lap around a race circuit on a Ducati
Favourite place on planet earth: The moment you stand on top of a snowy mountain for the first time in a while, in the sun, ready to ski downhill.
Amount of plants at home: It used to be over the legal limit a long time ago, but nowadays it’s just a bunch of air purifying palms.
Hobbies besides music: Tech, bikes (any type), cars, science, travel, people, the news, lots of different sports if I haven’t injured myself again, consuming massive amounts of TV, films, games, and most importantly entertaining my young son. I’m really never ever bored!
