Year entered the galaxy of dreams: 2018
Origin of artist alias: Phloem is the tissue in a plant that moves nutrients around from the
leaves. A pal and I were going to be Phloem & Xylem, but he didn’t end up taking the name
and I stuck with Phloem. Ended up working out well as I’ve turned out to be a plant fiend.
Main inspirations: Logistics, LSB, Artificial Intelligence, Calibre, Good Looking Records… the
list goes on. I’m drawn to progressive and emotionally fuelled music.
